Law Assistant Recruitment 2024: Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement to the Law Assistant Recruitment 2024 on contract basis in the High Court of Judicature at Patna by the way of ‘Selection through Advertisement’ under the relevant Clauses of the ‘Revised Scheme for Engagement of Law Assistants in the High Court of Judicature at Patna, 2021’ (copy may be downloaded from the official website of Patna High Court).

Voluntary applicants can apply online through the link provided on the official website, i.e. www.patnahighcourt.gov.in, only after paying an application fee of Rs. 250/- only (two hundred and fifty rupees only). The application fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The link will remain active from 01.06.2024 to 23.06.2024 until 23:55, after which the link will be deactivated. However, if a candidate does not apply online due to a technical failure, the candidate will be free to submit their duly completed application in word processing format, by express mail within two days of the closing of the link, i.e. until to 25.06. .2024.

The application submitted by express courier must contain all duly certified copies of the required certificate as well as proof that your applications were not accepted through the online mode due to a technical problem. They must attach a draft on sight of the required examination fee issued in favor of the Registrar General of the High Court of Patna, payable in Patna.

(i) Nationality- A candidate for engagement to the post of Law Assistant must be a citizen of India.

(ii) Character :- The character of a candidate must be such as to render suitable in all respect for engagement in the service in the High Court. The decision of the Appointing Authority in this regard shall be final.

Note – Person terminated/ dismissed by the Government or by a Local Authority or a Corporation owned or controlled by the Government or convicted of serious offences (other than those punishable with only fine) by Court of law will be deemed to be ineligible for the engagement.

(iii) Age limit :- A candidate applying for engagement as Law Assistant must not be below 18 years of age as on the 1st January, 2024.

(iv) Minimum Educational Qualifications :- Applications are invited from candidates who are :-

Law Graduates/ Post Graduates from a University/ College recognized by Bar Council of India shall be eligible to apply/ serve as Law Assistant provided that the applicant has passed LL.B/ LL.M examination within two years from the date of detailed advertisement. Also, their candidature must be recommended by a designated Senior Advocate of this Court or by the Head of the last Law School/ College/ University attended by him/her.
