In the 2001 Junior Davis Cup final, Novak Djokovic suffered a defeat in singles against an opponent who was under 14 years old at the time. However, he quickly rose in the ranks and achieved the top spot in the combined junior world rankings in February 2004. With an impressive record of 40-11 in singles and 23-6 in doubles, Djokovic made his entry into the ATP World Tour in 2003.
