After completing his education, Vivek Dahiya ventured to England for further studies, enrolling at De Montfort University. There, he pursued a Master of Science degree in International Business Management. Although he had previously been involved in theater during college, acting was not initially his intended career path. Instead, he secured a job at an IT corporate company in England. However, while touring India for his work, an irresistible modeling opportunity presented itself, leading him to make a life-changing decision.

In 2011, Vivek won the coveted title of Mr. Chandigarh, following which he relocated to Delhi. In Delhi, he immersed himself in print ad shoots and runway walks, collaborating with various renowned brands. Eventually, his passion for acting drew him to Mumbai, where he decided to pursue a full-time career in the entertainment industry. He began auditioning for roles in television serials, and in 2013, he landed his breakthrough role in the TV series Yeh Hai Aashiqui, portraying the character Devesh. This portrayal was well-received by the audience, subsequently earning him the role of Inspector Rajveer Thakur in the serial Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera. Playing a corrupt cop who abuses his power to harm a pivotal character, Vivek’s performance garnered attention and he even received threatening phone calls as a result.

Recalling his experience, Vivek shared, “I remember playing a bad cop in a show called Veera who would abuse his authority and get the male lead in trouble. I used to get a lot of hate mail. On the show, I killed someone, and the audience took it seriously. So this one guy threatened me that if I was seen outside, he’d have me beaten up. I took it as a sign that I must have done a good job for them to be upset with me.”
