Eligibility criteria according to PM KISAN

Under this scheme, all peasant families who own land are eligible for benefits. Landlord family is defined by scheme guidelines as a family consisting of husband, wife and minor children who own arable land according to the respective state.

PM KISAN Exclusion category

The following categories of beneficiaries belonging to the highest economic status will not be able to enjoy the benefits of the scheme.

  • Every institutional owner.
  • Families of breeders belonging to one or more of the following categories:
  • Current and past holders of constitutional offices.
  • Current and former Ministers, Ministers of State, District Presidents of Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
  • All retired and active employees and civil servants of central or state government ministries or offices or departments and their field units or central/state PES and subsidiary offices or autonomous institutions under government and local authority employees. (Except Class IV / Multitasking Personnel / Group D Employees).
  • Any pensioner or retiree with a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 or more (excluding Class IV/Multitasking/Group D employees)
  • Anyone who has paid income tax in the last tax year.
  • Professionals such as engineers, doctors, accountants, lawyers, architects enroll in professional colleges and practice the profession by exercising practices.

Benefits paid under the PM KISAN

Under the PM KISAN program, income support of Rs 6,000 per year is granted to all farming families who own arable land in their name, regardless of the size of their holdings.

The amount of Rs 6,000 is paid in three equal installments each year as follows:

How to correct bank and Aadhaar details?

PM Kisan provides annual cash transfers to its beneficiaries in three installments, from April to July; the second phase is between August and November and the third between December and March.
